This past summer, several fathers and sons were sponsored at our Passage to Manhood camp. One of these was a father of nine who longed to share this time with his oldest son. Due to the size of his family, these types of events are a stretch for them, financially and time-wise. Through the generosity of others, we were able to secure a sponsorship for Mike and his son to attend and share in the full experience. Later, while speaking about their time together at camp, Mike said, “To share our feelings with one another and to know that, even though life is hard, entering manhood, we are walking side by side now as we serve our Father. And to not be afraid to ask any questions. . . there’s something about a community of men, and the two of us are a community of men.”
If you would enjoy seeing your dollars have a direct and profound influence on a father and son, would you please keep us in mind when considering your year-end giving plan? We would be grateful for any donation you might wish to make, or you could become a sponsor in one of two ways:
- An open sponsorship to be awarded by us to a deserving father and son who couldn’t otherwise afford our program
- A designated sponsorship to be awarded to a father and son you designate
