Volunteering with CITS

Volunteers for Christ in the Smokies camps are accepted and approved by Christ in the Smokies camp director. Applicants should have previously attended the same camp in which they would like to serve.

Each camp requires anywhere from eight to 12 volunteers with a large breadth of skill sets. This is a list of a few of the more typical volunteer roles and skills:

1) Fly Fishing Guides
2) Logistics coordinator
3) Photographer
4) Videographer

5) Hiking expertise
6) Rock climbing expertise
7) White-water rafting expertise
8) EMT

9) Hospitality
10) Alumni Son Volunteers
11) Prayer partners
and many more . . .

  • All volunteers will have the opportunity to see life transformation as well as speak into the lives of men during the camp.
  • If you would like more information about volunteer roles, requirements and dates, please contact Tim Strickland:  tim@christinthesmokies.org.

To apply for a volunteer position with our team, get started by filling out the form below. You will then be directed to DocuSign to sign forms required for camp. This does not confirm your application for camp, but allows us to capture all your information now, in order to be prepared for camp, in the event that you do serve with Christ in the Smokies.

Once your application is received you will be contacted by a Christ in the Smokies staff member for an interview.

Thank you so much for applying to serve with us.  This program would not be possible without the commitment of our volunteers, and we look forward to hearing more about how we might partner with you!
