Wes Potter and his son, Jake, a college student, were gifted the opportunity to attend Passage to Manhood camp by Wes’s wife at Christmas. Wes shares that both he and his son were at a difficult time in their lives, so the timing for the trip was perfect.
Wes could see that he and his son needed this time away, and he was hopeful that attending this camp would help his son grow and learn and develop a personal relationship with Jesus.
Fast forward just a few days, and Wes describes the two leaving the camp with a strong bond with each other and the rest of the guys. “We left with a sense of great accomplishment, victory, and unity,” he explains.
Since returning home from camp, Jacob has been baptized and “is very strong in Christ,” according to his father. “Jacob is now a man. Now he is ready and equipped for the world,” Wes continues. “I just want to say thank you.”
